Pratolungo dam for the rolling of floods (Municipality of Rome)

• an earth dam with a trapezoidal section, with a total development of 400.0 m (average height of approx
8.0 m);

• a plastic diaphragm made of CSM that covers the ground up to a depth of 6.00 m;

• an adjustment work, of the massive gravity type in concrete h = 18 m, consisting of:

· A central concourse of 2 lights, each 2.00 m wide and 3.00 m high, manned by flat gates with
bottom discharge

· A spillway composed of 4 free thresholds, 12.00 m each;

Raft foundations, sp. 1.50 m; the total volume of the regulation work is about 6’300 m3;

• a dissipation tank downstream of the spillway;

• a 4.00 m wide bridge consisting of prefabricated concrete beams and slab in c.a. overlying;

• 2 flat gates on wheels, b * h = 2.0 * 3.0 m and Pmax = 1.5 bar in stainless steel, with hydraulic power unit,
pistons and control panel and the entire accessory electrical system;

• Electrical system for connection to the ACEA network, including transformer cabin
MT / BT, 400 V, of power equal to 20 kVA

• BT distribution system;

• Control and measurement system, consisting of an optical collimation system and an inverted pendulum for
the displacements, strain gauges for the relative displacements between the segments, settlements for settlements
of the detected, piezometric cells for the under-pressures and water level meters;

• Automatic acquisition unit consisting of a selection group for 16 channels, CUM control unit
3000 with storage group and instrumentation measurement group;

• Normal and emergency road lighting system, AC / DC, including cables and wiring,
switches, disconnectors, overvoltage arresters, watertight junction boxes and 22 poles e
lighting bodies;

• Telephone signaling system for the dam;

• Submarine submergible pump, flow rate 20 l / s, head of 15 m and rated power 6 kW, with
three-phase power supply 400 V at 50 Hz.
